WHERE DID EVERYBODY GO?
This mini brief challenged me to create a short narrative sequence only using found footage from 11 sources with the title "Where did everybody go?" I was inspired by an extract from Alan Fletcher's book "The art of looking sideways", which states that when we close our eyes, we can’t prove that what we see when our eyes are open is still in front of us. Neither can we prove it hasn't transfigured into something else. But when we open our eyes again, it all goes back to how it was before. The idea is to play with the overlapping of meeting point of conscious and subconscious. When we have our eyes closed, we shut ourselves in our imagination, into our isolated internal worlds, in between a state of daydreaming and reality.
