RITUAL

The aim of this project was to create a 1-minute film on the theme of equivalence. I chose to approach the brief addressing the relationship between religious syncretism and nature in my own faith: the Afro-Brazilian beliefs of Umbanda and Candomblé. I used the celluloid film medium to create images of elements and symbols associated with the gods of Candomblé, the Orixás, during rituals and ceremonies, and also the figures of the gods themselves.
