A OUTRA CENA
Our interior cinema - the place of dreams. Where the narratives from our subconscious unravels in our spirit while we sleep. My idea is to recreate a dream by deconstruting the process our mind goes through to generate one. The concept of building a camera obscura is a metaphor for our minds - where the dream will be constructed by the overlapping images of conscious and subconscious, generating the manifest content and the latent content of a dream. When building the camera obscura, think of the upside down projection of the view from your window as your consciousness - what you see when you are awake - ovelapping with your the inside of your home - your subconscious - what is already established inside of your mind. After going through a ritual that allows you to enter the dream state, you will construct the Manifest content of your dream - the story, the parts you can remember when you wake up. And the Latent content is the hidden meaning of the dream: what you take from the manifest content and re-signify (the result from the experiement). This immersive experience is constructed by you, the spectator. So I invite you to let yourself drift into a dream. My proposition is that, like me, you immerse yourself into a ritual that allows you to enter a daydream state of mind. After retracing the steps of how I built my dream, I encourage you to then build your own - the aim with this experience is to take a journey inwards see what feelings it ultimately brings into you.
